OPERATIONS MANAGER

Responsible for new store openings, store operations and inventory management. Execute inventory strategies to maximize sales, profits and to protect the brand. Travel to stores and DC to identify opportunities; improve processes and resolve issues. Manage warehouse operations and delivery service. Demonstrate leadership ability to insure consistent priorities are achieved for the brand. Coordinate all purchase order activity and communication between stores, DC merchandising associates and vendor partners. Monitor and maintain inventory management systems and POP systems.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*Identify business opportunities and implement appropriate action to maximize financial objectives.
*Principal contact with distribution center to insure appropriate flow of information.
*Review current business and take appropriate action to maximize inventory productivity (daily, weekly, monthly)
*Review floor set with merchandising and visual teams to insure successful execution.
* Maintain communication and adjustment log of all orders and monitor status of shipments from the vendor partners.
* Work with buyer to monitor selling and adjust purchase order accordingly to drive sales and profitability
* Communicate all changes and cancellations of purchase orders to vendors
* Coordinate sku set up process with merchandising coordinator and merchandise associates
* Monitor purchase order status, track delivery and backorders
* Enter and amend purchase orders in ACE system
* Coordinate the creation and communication of purchase orders for stores. Enter purchase orders into the ACE system and ensure communication of orders to vendors
* Maintain accuracy of inventory system, sku's and departments
* Maintain log of purchase order confirmation
* Ensure accurate processing of shipments to all stores
* Coordinate training on protocols for receiving of goods
* Work with buyer to monitor selling and adjust po to maximize profitability
* Creation of purchase orders for early floor sets and monitor shipping to ensure on time delivery
* Attention to detail, follow through, communication skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1-2 year business experience, retail preferred
*1-2 year inventory management
* Bachelor s degree preferred
